Support/Donate

We need and appreciate your support! There are many ways to help support wildlife in need. When we work together, incremental giving creates a monumental difference for wildlife. Ellicott Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization. Your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. EWRC is totally staffed and supported by volunteers who have other jobs. The Center is supported by contributions and grants so every contribution no matter the size matters a great deal to us and to the wildlife we help.

Making a cash donation:

    • Send a check written to:
      EWRC
      PO Box 75069
      Colorado Springs, CO 80970
    • Donating through United Way: Although EWRC is not a member agency of United Way, you may donate to us simply by writing Ellicott Wildlife Rehab Center on the Donor Choice line on your United Way pledge card. We do not have an agency number, so please do NOT include a number for EWRC on your pledge card.
    • Use Pay Pal: We have a PayPal account for your convenience. CLICK HERE
  • We are an Enterprise Zone Project! In addition to your federal tax benefit for donating, when you donate cash and/or goods to EWRC, take advantage of a Colorado state income tax credit up to 25%. To be eligible checks must be in the amount of $250 or more and must be made payable to El Paso County Enterprise Zone with Ellicott Wildlife Rehab Center written on the memo line of your check. Mail your check to us or to the Enterprise Zone, 27 E. Vermijo, 5th Floor, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Please contact us for more information on how to receive the 23.5% credit on in-kind contributions and contributions of professional services. For complete information go to the Enterprise Zone website.
  • Contribute through your workplace: Many employees are able to donate a dollar amount per paycheck to the charity of their choice. Payroll contribution is a simple and efficient way to support the issues you care about most. If your company runs a United Way campaign, you can write in Ellicott Wildlife Rehab Center as a “donor choice” option on the pledge card.
  • Matching contributions through your employer.  You can double your donation if your employer matches your donation to a nonprofit, as many employers offer this benefit.  Some employers also offer a “dollars for doing” benefit as well, where your volunteer hours are matched in dollars.

Adopt one of our Educational Ambassador birds or a critter in rehab at EWRC.

Adopting (sponsoring) one or more of our Educational Ambassador birds makes a unique and wonderful gift for anyone and for all kinds of occasions. And it helps underwrite the costs of wildlife rehab at EWRC!

You, your family, your workplace, school, or organization can sponsor a bird to help cover the expenses during rehab and then their ongoing care as an Educational Ambassador as an important part of our educational programs.

  • For a sponsorship of at least $25 you will receive an adoption certificate.
  • With a sponsorship of $50 or more you will receive a 8 x 10 print of an Educational Ambassador bird and an adoption certificate.
  • With a sponsorship of $100 or more you’ll receive the photo, certificate, and the opportunity to attend the release of a rehabbed bird of prey.

Send your sponsorship check to:

EWRC-Adoption
P.O. Box 75069
Colorado Springs, CO 80970

Please include all contact information for the receipt of the adoption materials. If you qualify for the “release event,” be sure to include your email address or phone number so we may contact you for the event. You may be able to invite a guest or your immediate family to attend the release depending on the release location and at the discretion of EWRC.
